Commercial sales are a vital part of Tesoro’s commercial marketing business, and consist of two major product categories: aviation fuels and heavy fuels.

Aviation Fuels

Tesoro’s operations in aviation fuels primarily include commercial jet fuel and military jet fuel. We supply jet fuel to commercial airlines with routes in the Western United States. This broad range of client territory includes Arizona, California, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Utah, North and South Dakota, Hawaii and Alaska. Tesoro has the capability of supplying military JP8 from its refineries in Alaska, Hawaii, Washington, Utah and North Dakota.

Heavy Fuels

Tesoro sells heavy fuels and oils for a wide range of uses, including marine, commercial and industrial customers, and the utility market. We are also a significant supplier of bunker fuel to cruise ships in the Seattle area, many of which are bound for Alaska. Tesoro is also a key supplier of liquid asphalt for asphalt and construction companies.

Currently, Tesoro serves customers of heavy fuel oil in Alaska, Hawaii, Oregon, Washington, Utah and North Dakota. Asphalt customers span several states, including Alaska, Hawaii, Oregon and Washington.
